Over the course of his career, Matt has been a developer, a mentor, a studio partner, and a business owner. And it’s fair to say he’s seen firsthand how difficult carving your own path can be, which has led him to his new venture —empowering creative individuals to grow their businesses and follow their purpose and values.
Through a series of brand workshops we got to the core of Matt Saunders’ audience, values, and offering. And built a brand narrative that targets a key niche and creates standout in a saturated market.
Inspired by proof readers’ marks, the bespoke illustrative brush strokes bring a playfulness to the identity, and references the work in progress nature of coaching and the creative industry.
The wordmark is set in Gopher, an unusual typeface where the contrast is inverted from most typefaces, this brings further personality to the brand and hints at the sometimes unexpected ways freelancers find success.
